पवन-सुवन! रिपु-दवन! भरतलाल! लखन! दीनको। निज निज अवसर सुधि किये, बलि जाउँ, दास-आस पूजि है खासखीनको॥ १॥ राज-द्वार भली सब कहैं साधु-समीचीनको। सुकृत-सुजस, साहिब-कृपा, स्वारथ-परमारथ, गति भये गति-बिहीनको॥ २॥ समय सँभारि सुधारिबी तुलसी मलीनको। प्रीति-रीति समुझाइबी नतपाल कृपालुहि परिमिति पराधीनको॥ ३॥
Son of the Wind, destroyer of foes, beloved Bharata, and Lakṣmaṇa—remember this lowly one whenever each of you finds an opportunity. I give myself to you; by doing so you will fulfill the hope of this utterly feeble servant. (1) At a royal gate everyone speaks well of a saint whose conduct is proper. But by helping one without a way, you gain merit and fair fame, the Master's grace, your worldly and highest good, and a path for the pathless. (2) Seize the right moment and set impure Tulsi's affair right. Explain to the compassionate protector of those who bow the full measure of this dependent servant's way of love. (3)
