Fresh English translation
[153] Adorning the heart with longing for the lake of rasa in Sītā and her Beloved's beauty, I shall live forever in the beautiful Abode and banish worldly fear. [154] I desire neither liberation nor even devotion as an object; my one pure vow is to dwell in the Abode and continually behold the Couple. [155] Sweet wishes please the Prince and destroy delusion, possessiveness, stained honour, and mighty pride. [156] Never, even in dreams, form a powerless false desire; it quickly burns and gives a hundred sorrows in both worlds. [157] A good person who hears and fully understands Ujjvala-utkaṇṭhā surely attains Sītā and her Beloved and loses the many confusions of becoming. [158] On Sarayū's bank at the pure shore of Guptahari Kuṇḍ, this stainless Ujjvala-utkaṇṭhā, crown of a hundred joys, was composed. [159] Merely reading, hearing, and reflecting on this lovely longing for Lalī and Lāla's graceful līlā makes beautiful love overflow with rasa. [160] Receiving the power of the true guru's grace, Sāketa, and the pure Name, the poet has relished and spoken the adorned secrets of Ujjvala-utkaṇṭhā. Colophon: Thus ends the fifth section, the graceful Longing for the Līlā of Lalī and Lāla, in Śrī Ujjvala-utkaṇṭhā, composed by Yugalānanya Śaraṇa, humble servant of Śrī Svāmī Yugalapriyā. May there be auspiciousness. Scribal notice: Written by Kiśorīvallabha Śaraṇa on Tuesday, the bright eighth of Bhādra, Vikrama year 1972.
