लीलोत्कण्ठा दोहा श्रीसीतावर बसु पहर लीला रितु रस रीति ॥ उत्कण्ठा उर रैन दिन कब हैहै पगि प्रीति ॥१॥ मनिमय महल चहल पहल माँझ मनोहर रंग ॥ प्रिय परिकर सह प्रानप्रिय लखिहौं कबहुँ उतंग ॥२॥ श्रीसुषमा सुखसिन्धु श्रीकनकसदन निज धाम ॥ रचना सुमित निहारिहौं समै समै अभिराम ॥३॥ यूथेश्वरिन महल मनिन मण्डित नैन निहारि ॥ श्रीगुरु आचारज भवन लखि हैहौं बलिहारि ॥४॥ सप्तावरन सुरंग मनि नाना जड़ित बिलोकि ॥ अति अनूप आलिन महल तकि छकिहौं दृग रोकि ॥५॥ बिसद बाग सत सौज सज सदन विलच्छन पेखि ॥ मगन होय हरखाइहौं धन्य अपनपौ लेखि ॥६॥ अष्ट कुंज कमनीय चहुँ ओर चारु चित चोर ॥ निरखि निछावरि होइहौं तन मन रंग रस बोर ॥७॥ अमित रंग रंजित विहंग नाना जाति बिचित्र ॥ कबहुँ हेरिहौं हरषित हिय दशा धारि समचित्र ॥८॥ ललना ललित सँवारि तन श्रम तन निवारि सचेत ॥ कबहूँ युगल छवि हेरिहौं बसि श्रीकनकनिकेत ॥९॥
Fresh English translation
[1] When will day-and-night longing, steeped in love, fill my heart for the eight watches of Śrī Sītā's Lord's seasonal līlā and rasa? [2] When shall I see the Life-Beloved, exalted amid delightful bustle and colour in the jeweled palace, together with the dear retinue? [3] Again and again I shall behold the fine design of the Golden Residence, their own Abode, an ocean of beauty and happiness. [4] Seeing the jeweled palaces of the group-leaders and the homes of Śrī Guru and the ācāryas, I shall offer myself. [5] My arrested eyes shall drink in the incomparable palace-compounds with seven beautiful enclosures set with many jewels. [6] Seeing the distinctive residence, lucid gardens, and every true arrangement, I shall become absorbed, rejoice, and count myself blessed. [7] Beholding eight charming bowers on every side, graceful thieves of the heart, I shall offer body and mind, drenched in colour and rasa. [8] When shall I joyfully see birds of countless strange species dyed in innumerable colours, assuming their varied moods? [9] Dwelling in the Golden Residence, when shall I consciously behold the Couple's beauty as the attendants gracefully adorn their bodies and remove their fatigue?
