Fresh English translation
[21] When shall I humbly worship the lotus-foot dust of rasikas whose minds, made pure, drink the nectar of Satyā and Sarayū? [22] Enduring countless stigmas, labels, and terrible sorrows as joy, I shall live on sacred Sarayū's lovely bank remembering Sītā and Raghunātha. [23] Ayodhyā is the joy-giving beautiful Abode joined to the seat of Śrī Sītā-Rāma; for a lifetime I shall worship there, leaving the three worlds' dark desires. [24] Gods and others serve the Abode; the mind is filled with endless colour, while each moment the heart receives the abundant wealth of Śrī Sītā's Beloved's beauty. [25] When will a stream flow from my eyes at sight of the Abode, self and other forgotten, awareness stilled, and consciousness made pure longing? [26] When shall I establish my vow to live in the Abode, treasury of sacred beauty, so that even if my head is severed, love and faith suffer no loss? [27] Forgetting even in dreams the desire for Brahmā's, Viṣṇu's, and Śiva's cities, I shall abandon the cluster of worlds and rejoice within Ayodhyā. [28] Great is my fortune and love if, gaining this dear human body, I abandon harsh distortions and make an unwavering home on Sarayū's beautiful bank. [29] Honour and reputation are dust; powers and attainments equal dirt. Seeing endless fame as poison, I shall dwell in the supreme Abode. [30] Without hesitation I shall offer countless worlds and the splendour of their lords to Ayodhyā's pollen; that instant gives birth to love. [31] Singing and hearing with joy the good qualities of Śrī Sītā's Beloved, I shall wander Vimalā's land while playing the sarod.
