Fresh English translation
[10] Seeing the sweet trees of Pramodavana upon Sarayū's sacred sands, treasury of loving joy, I shall abandon the spreading darkness. [11] When shall I live beneath a tree in Aśokavāṭikā, bodily thirst abandoned, every pore thrilled and attached to the rasa of the Couple's form? [12] Wherever I see the graceful splendour of Lāḍilī and her Beloved, I shall take on a lover's madness as happiness turns toward me from both directions. [13] Knowing worldly shame and family duties to be flowers of poison, I shall dwell in Vimalā with stainless understanding, beholding the Couple's form. [14] When shall longing for the Golden Residence entice me, so that I join fully with like-hearted rasikas and acquaint the mind with love? [15] When will the blessed day come when, with residents of the Abode, I increase the colour of loving taste more sweetly than with millions of relatives? [16] Whoever joyfully speaks for residence in the Abode—I shall approve that person in every way, and my restless mind will find peace. [17] When will my love grow in the company of lovers of the Abode, as I become more humble and hear its relishable good fortune in my heart? [18] I shall withdraw affection from those who leave the beautiful Abode and wander exhausted through other bad lands, recognizing the ruin of that wealth. [19] One publicly bears the pure name 'worshipper of the Couple' yet does not live in the Abode's pleasure-groves—who could be more ignorant? [20] Those adorned by empty talk of detachment who still depart again for foreign lands should be abandoned like straw, says Yugalānanya Śaraṇa.
