रूपोत्कण्ठा दोहा सरस सोहावन सुदिन मम कब हैहैं करतार ॥ लखिहौं नखशिख माधुरी-सिय-पिय-अंग उदार ॥१॥ लखत-लखत ललचाय चख चित्त मनोहर जोरि ॥ मगन होत उतरात तन दैहौं तृण-सम तोरि ॥२॥ युगल रूप-रस-लालची लट्ठ होइहौं हेरि ॥ कोटिन काम कष्ट कबहूँ समुझि रहौं सुख फेरि ॥३॥ सियपिय-वपुष-पियूष प्रिय रूप पेखि उत्साह ॥ कब सजिहौं मत्सररहित चित-चढ़ाय चय-चाह ॥४॥ जो कोउ कहिहै हरषि हिय रूप-कथा कमनीय ॥ सुनिहौं मनसुख मगन ह्वै मानि सुगुरु रमनीय ॥५॥ सतसंपति दंपति-चरण चारु सरोज विचित्र ॥ कबहूँ मम मानस सरस संकाशिहैं पवित्र ॥६॥ वर वासर छन क्षेम-निधि पदकंज सदु मंजु ॥ मधुप-मराल रसाल-सम ह्वै बसिहै तजि रंजु ॥७॥ जगमग पगपंकज परम प्रेम-प्रवाह निहारि ॥ ह्वै रहिहै चेरी सुमति सुरति सोहाग विचारि ॥८॥ ललित ललन लोने युगल पदपंकज प्रिय अंक ॥ अति अनूप नवरंग से रँगिहौं बिगत कलंक ॥९॥
Fresh English translation
Longing for the Form. [1] Creator, when will that sweet and beautiful blessed day be mine, when I behold from nail to crown the generous limbs of Sītā and her Beloved? [2] As I keep looking, eye and mind will hunger for the enchanting Pair; becoming absorbed, I shall cast away the body like a snapped blade of grass. [3] Gazing, I shall become wholly greedy for the rasa of the Couple's Form; turning from countless desires and pains, I shall understand and remain in happiness. [4] Seeing the beloved nectar-Form of Sītā and her Beloved, when will I adorn the mind free of envy and mount ever-growing desire upon it? [5] Whoever joyfully tells the lovely story of that Form I shall hear as a beautiful true guru, becoming absorbed in the heart's happiness. [6] When will the four wondrous lotus feet of the Divine Pair, the wealth of truth, shine pure and full of rasa within my mind? [7] On what excellent, welfare-filled day will I abandon grief and dwell there like bee and swan upon those always-beautiful lotus feet? [8] Beholding the shining foot-lotuses and their supreme stream of love, good understanding will remain their maid, mindful of devoted service and bridal fortune. [9] Free of stain, I shall be dyed in the incomparable ever-new colour of the lovely young Couple's dear lotus feet.
