Fresh English translation
[52] When will my tongue repeat the Name and lose awareness, as a woman seeing her moon-delighting lord gives herself away? [53] O Name of Ayodhyā's Prince, gathered treasury of every art, accept me as your own servant and erase the account of this abode of sorrow. [54] O life-giving Name of Sītā's Lord, giver of happiness to rasikas, when will I repeat you with intense anguish and pierce the realm of appearances? [55] When will my tongue become like a god in repeating the Name even once and I lose ordinary consciousness, dwelling on the sweetness of the Form, the mind-enchanting abode of virtues? [56] Fixing the heart upon the beloved sands of sacred Sarayū's farther bank, I shall repeat the Name, thrill through, and pour tears from my eyes. [57] Wearing within my heart the jeweled garland of the stainless Lord's Name, I shall let beauty cover every pore while my eyes behold Sītā and her Beloved. [58] When will the garland of the Name move within me in constant joy, so that merely hearing it makes me flow like a lovely instrument upon a lake of happiness? [59] The charming garland-form of the Name equals a thousand suns and moons; beholding it repeatedly, I shall rejoice and abandon bodily awareness. [60] When will I become utterly humble and repeat the life-giving Name, adorning the heart with even contentment and taking pure taste as my excellent counsellor? [61] When will I firmly meditate upon the Name amid the stainless meanings and supreme majesty of praṇava and the other mantras, and receive its joyful abundance? [62] Incarnate Lords and incarnations manifest throughout the world as God; I shall know them all to be dependent upon the supreme sovereign Name.
