[8] When will the lovely rasa of the Name, Form, virtues, Abode, and sacred play become immensely dear to me, as life is dear even to an insensible creature? [9] Inspired in the heart by Sītā's Lord, I describe this spotless play. Hearing this sweet Radiant Longing makes love manifest. [10] The Name, Form, virtues, Abode, riches, periods, majesty, and excellent dwelling—Radiant Longing adorned with them increases ardour and delight. [11] Loving good people, filled with eager delight, will understand it. How can the dry and petty perceive the treasury of Sītā's Beloved's virtues? [12] Without growing longing, the heart's charming green radiance does not arise; even after countless hardships there is no peace in the rasa of love. [13] Reflect deeply on the two kinds of inner imagining—welcome and unwelcome—for they are known causes that yield joy or its absence. [14] Therefore let the attentive mind erase the harmful seeds of latent desire and meditate upon the stainless Name and the transcendent Form. [15] Understand idle talk as a forest in the sky and especially forget it; at every moment adorn the stainless flower of longing in its finest dress. [16] Regard worldly honour as full of sorrow, a great mine of impurity; let the mind churn the Name, Form, and virtues and strain out pure rasa. [17] When will the bright day come when, burning the world's entanglement, my tongue repeats Sītā-Rāma's Name and makes the loving heart rejoice? [18] When will my tongue, desireless, repeat it in a cloud-deep voice, again and again increasing love and scraping away the stain of the senses?
