संचित तैशी बुिद्ध उपजे मनामधीं । सांगितलें सििद्ध नव जाय ॥1॥

English Translation
As is one's accumulated karma, so does the intellect arise in the mind. What has been foretold cannot be undone by advice. Whatever treasure lies within a person, it runs toward him on its own; no teaching is needed. Says Tuka, people rise carrying their own inherent qualities, according to their destiny.
