English Translation

Who on this earth can trouble the servant of Hari? Dance joyfully in kirtan and let your voices roar with victory. Death itself takes flight, and all sins are scattered. Says Tuka, I speak from the chitta: this is the true teaching of honor.

In Plain Words

Who on this earth can trouble the servant of Hari? Dance with joy in the kirtan; let your voices roar with the cry of victory. Death itself runs away. All sins are scattered. Tuka says: from my chitta I tell you the true rule of honor.

What it means

Tukaram declares the servant of Hari untouchable: no power on earth can harm one who belongs to God. The proof is in the singing itself. When devotees dance and shout the victory cry in kirtan, death takes flight and the whole weight of sin scatters. He offers this not as boast but as instruction spoken from the heart: real honor and safety lie in taking refuge in the Name, not in worldly standing.

नाम महिमा

The Power of the Name

The supremacy of nama-smarana: God's name as the highest practice.
