English Translation

Where the distinction between doing and not doing has ceased, I walk that path in the company of saints. The saints first raised this banner, and seeing its mark, I cry out the Name with fervor. Says Tuka, come along this very road, for with confidence you shall meet Panduranga.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

Where doing and not doing have both fallen away, I walk that path in the company of the saints. The saints first raised this banner. I see its mark, and I cry out the Name. Tuka says: come along this very road. With confidence you will meet Panduranga.

What it means

Tukaram points to a road that the saints have already marked and walked, and tells you to take it. The road begins where the anxious accounting of duties, doing this and avoiding that, has dropped away. The saints planted the banner of the Name; seeing their sign, he simply calls the Name aloud and follows. His promise is plain: walk this road in their company and you are not gambling, you will surely meet Panduranga at Pandhari.
