सेवकें करावें सांगितलें काम । सिक्याचा तो धर्म स्वामी राखे ॥1॥
काय देवा नेणों आलें गांढेपण । तुह्मी शिHहीन जाले दिसां ॥ध्रु.॥
विष्णुदास आह्मी निर्भर ज्याबळें । तें दिसे या काळें अव्हेरिलें ॥2॥

English Translation
A servant should carry out the work assigned; it is the master's duty to look after the wages. What, O God, has this helplessness come to? You seem to have lost Your power these days. We are servants of Vishnu, confident in His strength, yet that strength seems abandoned in these times. Says Tuka, send word quickly, or tell me, O Hari, what I should do.
