English Translation
The knots of their chittas came undone at the sight of Krishna. The women performed the welcoming ritual, offering their very jiva as a gift. From the moment of His birth, His beauty enchanted everyone. Says Tuka, there one woman rushes in, only to be overtaken by another.

What it means
Tukaram watches the women of Gokul come to see the newborn Krishna, and what loosens in them is the inner knot, the tight grip of the separate self. Their welcome-ritual is not a formality: the gift they pour out is their own jiva, their life and feeling. His beauty has drawn every one of them from the first instant of his birth. The closing image is the crush at the door, one woman pressing forward and the next overtaking her, all pulled by the same enchantment.
