English Translation

This abundance belongs to the fortunate; they make the most of their birth. Each receives according to his own faith; whatever is meant for each, that is what comes. God is the giver of whatever one desires; there is no need to worry. Says Tuka, precious things come to those who arrive at the right place.

In Plain Words

This abundance belongs to the fortunate; they make a true gain of their birth. Each receives by his own faith; whatever is meant for someone, that is what comes to him. God gives the food each one desires. There is no need to worry. Tuka says: precious things come to the one who reaches the right place.

What it means

Tukaram is saying that the spiritual harvest of a human life is real wealth, and it falls to those who know how to use the chance of being born. What each person draws from God is measured by the faith he brings; what is meant for him arrives, no more and no less. Because of that, anxiety is pointless: the Giver already provides what each truly desires. The closing line names the one condition, that you arrive at the right place, the company of God and the saints, where the precious things are kept.

श्रद्धा
