English Translation

We are not the kind to be shaken by petty provocations. Root and branch, we are planted in one place, and You know us entirely. What is Yours and what is ours is not divided or parceled out. Says Tuka, wherever I am, I appear as Yours.

We ask forgiveness for any inaccuracies in rendering Tukaram ji’s original Marathi.

In Plain Words

We are not the kind who are shaken by today's little tricks and provocations. Root and branch, we are planted in one place, and you know all of us. What is yours and what is ours is not divided up or parceled out. Tuka says: wherever I am, there I appear as yours.

What it means

Tukaram is declaring a settled belonging that no small provocation can disturb. He is not a sapling of the moment, easily uprooted; root and branch he is fixed in one place, fully known to God. From that footing he erases the line between mine and yours: nothing has been divided between them. The claim he lands is total. Wherever he happens to be, he shows up as God's own, with no separate self held back.
