Doubtful readings and source qualifications
Every one of the 1,178 units still requires an independent second collation against the scan; none is checked or published-final.
The visible modern edition is not silently identified with the historical fifth edition reported by the 1957 programme; their editorial relationship remains unverified.
Printed source attributions are preserved as witness claims. They have not all been independently located in the named Purāṇic, Śruti, Smṛti, Saṃhitā, Rāmāyaṇa, Tantra, or other parent works.

Hope placed in pilgrimage is a needless object of attendance; saying ‘Rāma’ once is worth millions of Prayāgas. Yugalānanya says: wandering and toil here and there exact their price—the stain does not leave without repetition of the jewel-like Name.
