Fresh English translation

The month of Savan is lovely. Clouds pour and thunder—ghamāgham—while cuckoos, peacocks, and thirsty chatakas call, and champak and champa gleam on every side. The companions sing the Malhar mode and dance—chhamāchham—says Mani Rasarang. Rama and Sia swing on Sarayu’s bank, and the swing’s motion fills the air—bhamābham.
