Fresh English translation
Doha: Her Beloved gives the swing a mighty push and laughs as her veil spreads wide. At that, Sia assumes a little lovely sulk—the very root of delight. Savaiya: Sia quickly returns to the swing, wearing divine garments. She goes with her Beloved, the root of joy, to Sarayu’s banks. As pure water nourishes roots so that a tree forever gives fruit and flowers, so, says Rasarangmani, the flowers of this play lighten the heart and brighten the brow.
