Fresh English translation

Cymbals ring on every side while the sky roars with dense clouds; against that sound the lovely young women strike their instruments little by little. Wherever the swing’s apparatus sways, there the heart-stealing youthful Pair—the dark Lord and fair Lady—shines. The lively companions give it playful pushes, turning their bodies with youthful force as they sing and break into rhythm. On that lovely platform they smile and glance from the corners of their eyes: today Sita and Rama, steeped in rasa, swing upon the swing.
