Fresh English translation

The monsoon is a beautiful radiance and a seed of delight, says Rasarangmani; in the jeweled bower the trees have flowered with monsoon splendor. The monsoon satisfies; it is green, it fills Sarayu, and the clouds rain its sweet showers. A great company of lovely women sings monsoon songs, displaying melody, color, and movement. Rama’s Lady, dressed in monsoon attire, swings; the good companions are saturated with the monsoon’s love.
