Fresh English translation

In the monsoon Ayodhya is lovelier than ever: clouds gather and rain in fine showers. The sacred earth appears delightful and green; garden beds brim with water and shoots burst forth on every side. Knowing all the companions to be favorable, Sita and Rama—the root of bridal good fortune—swing and plunder joy upon joy. Beholding the Pair, says Rasarangmani, how many merely worldly beauties are put to shame and beat their heads!
