चातुर्होत्रप्रधानत्वाल्लिङ्गादित्रितयं त्रयी। अथर्वाङ्गिरसं रूपं सामऋग्यजुरात्मकम् ॥ २३ ॥

cāturhotrapradhānatvālliṅgāditritayaṃ trayī| atharvāṅgirasaṃ rūpaṃ sāmaṛgyajurātmakam || 23 ||
Fresh English translation
Because the four priestly functions are foremost, the three marked by textual sign and the rest form the Triad. The Atharvāṅgirasa too has the nature of Sāman, Ṛg, and Yajus.
