यद्यहं तेदयापात्रं रक्ष्योस्मि सर्वथा त्वया । सौमित्रे मित्रभावेन ततो मामवलोकय ॥ २८॥

yadyahaṃ tedayāpātraṃ rakṣyosmi sarvathā tvayā | saumitre mitrabhāvena tato māmavalokaya || 28||
English
‘If I am an object of your compassion and am to be protected by you in every way, then, O son of Sumitrā, look upon me with the feeling of a friend.
