कराङ्गुलीयात्मनखप्रभाभिः स्वतश्चरक्तौ चरणौ प्रियस्य । नवाविलिप्ता विति मूढ़चित्ता विलिप्य भूयोपि ममार्ज बाला ॥ ४७॥

karāṅgulīyātmanakhaprabhābhiḥ svataścaraktau caraṇau priyasya | navāviliptā viti mūr̤hacittā vilipya bhūyopi mamārja bālā || 47||

His feet were naturally red from the brilliance of his toenails and her jeweled fingers. The innocent girl, momentarily confused about whether she had freshly colored them, applied pigment again and then wiped it away.
