नत्वं जानासि मर्माणि देव्या देवस्य चेतरा । दूत्यौ चित्यं यशः प्राप्तुं मध्यं वध्वागता परम् ॥ २॥

natvaṃ jānāsi marmāṇi devyā devasya cetarā | dūtyau cityaṃ yaśaḥ prāptuṃ madhyaṃ vadhvāgatā param || 2||

‘You do not understand the innermost feelings of the Goddess and the Lord. You have inserted yourself between bride and beloved merely to gain the reputation of a clever messenger.’
