पुमांश्चेद्वनितां योग्यां न त्यजेदितरो यथा । वेश्यावद्वनिता चेति चारिकावचनं मृदु ॥ २२॥

pumāṃścedvanitāṃ yogyāṃ na tyajeditaro yathā | veśyāvadvanitā ceti cārikāvacanaṃ mṛdu || 22||
English
Cārikā gently said, ‘If he is truly a man, he should not abandon a worthy woman as an ordinary man might; nor should a woman behave like one who sells her affection.’
