उदासीनमपि त्वां तु का त्यजेदिह नायिका । इति चार्वाश्रया वाणी वाणशाणिमनोभवा ॥ २०॥

udāsīnamapi tvāṃ tu kā tyajediha nāyikā | iti cārvāśrayā vāṇī vāṇaśāṇimanobhavā || 20||

‘Even if you remain indifferent, what heroine here could abandon you?’ Thus arose a lovely speech, itself a whetstone sharpening the arrows of love.
