यामिका इव कामस्य सारसाः किल चुक्रुशुः । अश्रूयन्त नदीनादाः कामदुन्दुभयः किमु ॥ ३३॥

yāmikā iva kāmasya sārasāḥ kila cukruśuḥ | aśrūyanta nadīnādāḥ kāmadundubhayaḥ kimu || 33||
English
The cranes cried out like night-watchers in the service of Kāma. The voices of rivers were heard—were they perhaps the war-drums of the god of love?
