एवं सख्यः शशाङ्कं ता दृष्ट्वोत्प्रैक्षत सस्मिताः । सीताया वदनं चापि विलोक्य जहृषुर्भृशम् ॥ २८॥

evaṃ sakhyaḥ śaśāṅkaṃ tā dṛṣṭvotpraikṣata sasmitāḥ | sītāyā vadanaṃ cāpi vilokya jahṛṣurbhṛśam || 28||
English
The sakhīs smiled as they contemplated the moon through all these fanciful comparisons; then they looked upon Sītā’s face and rejoiced still more intensely.
