मणिं वेणीमुखे दृष्ट्वा नागोपि विदधे मणिम् । तथात्वे भीषयन्नेष सर्वैरपि निहन्यते ॥ २६॥

maṇiṃ veṇīmukhe dṛṣṭvā nāgopi vidadhe maṇim | tathātve bhīṣayanneṣa sarvairapi nihanyate || 26||
English
Seeing a jewel at the head of your braid, the serpent too placed a jewel upon its head. Yet when it assumes that likeness and terrifies others, everyone strikes it down.
