वेणीं विलोक्य ते तापो यः पापस्य विजायते । हालाहलन्तु नागस्य स एवान्तकसन्निभम् ॥ २५॥

veṇīṃ vilokya te tāpo yaḥ pāpasya vijāyate | hālāhalantu nāgasya sa evāntakasannibham || 25||

When the serpent beholds your dark braid, the burning born of its guilty envy becomes its own Hālāhala poison, terrible as death itself.
