कुतो ब्रह्मादिषु प्रीतिः खण्डितात्मगुणेषु यत् । देवासूर्यापरावृत्तेदुर्गादिषु तु किं पुनः ॥ १६॥

kuto brahmādiṣu prītiḥ khaṇḍitātmaguṇeṣu yat | devāsūryāparāvṛttedurgādiṣu tu kiṃ punaḥ || 16||

How could my love rest in Brahmā and the others, whose inherent powers are partial? What need then be said of Durgā and the other deities who remain within the turning course of divine manifestation?
