चत्वारोपि महावेदा नैतत्तुल्याः फलादिभिः । का कथास्मृतिशास्त्राणां पुराणानां च पावने ॥ १२॥

catvāropi mahāvedā naitattulyāḥ phalādibhiḥ | kā kathāsmṛtiśāstrāṇāṃ purāṇānāṃ ca pāvane || 12||

Even the four great Vedas do not equal it in fruits and other benefits. What then need be said of the Smṛti treatises and Purāṇas, O purifier?
