Chapter 1 · Verse 34

स्तुतं च सेवितं रम्यं रत्नतोरणमण्डितम् । कारुण्यरूपं तन्नीरं गङ्गा यस्माद्विनिःसृता ॥ ३४ ॥

Praised and lovingly served, delightful and adorned with jeweled gateways, it holds waters that are compassion itself, from which the Gaṅgā flows forth.
