Chapter 1 · Verse 2

सर्वेषां त्वं परं ज्योतिः परमात्मा प्रकृतेः परः । गुणेश्वरो गुणमयो गुणातीतो महेश्वरः ॥ २ ॥

You are the supreme light of all, the Supreme Self beyond primordial nature: Lord of the qualities, formed of qualities, yet transcending qualities—the great sovereign.
