Fresh English translation
[The Sorõ song concludes:] ‘This thirsting servant—O compassionate friend, bless me with your sight.’ ‘At dawn the divine couple sport. Smiling gently, they uncover the happiness of the night's loving conversations. Their limbs shine together, weary from love; arms and eyes encircle one another. They play, touch cheeks, start back, and cast their eyelids down. Again their garments loosen in the play, and they gather them with understanding. Kṛpānivāsa says: the eyes of Śrī Jānakī's beloved are moons to everyone.’ Colophon: ‘Thus the verses for the times of Rāma's rāsa, composed by Śrī Kṛpānivāsa, have been written in brief. Written in homage to Śrī Jānakī's beloved. In Śrī Ayodhyā, Rāmānuja Dāsa of Garuḍa-dhvaja.’
