Fresh English translation

Now, the morning hour. Rāga Lalita, āḍa tāla: ‘Beloved, Sīyā's smile has bewitched me. Her eyes open and happiness blossoms; a lovely savor gathers in the play of her brows.’ (1) ‘The shining lips, the grace of her smile, and the beauty of her seat hold the very life-breath of rasika Rāma. Kṛpānivāsa says: such is the beloved girl's natural, captivating way.’ (25) ‘Live victorious, Rāma, rasika wanderer! Your form is entangled in my eyes and cannot become separate even for the blink of an eyelid.’ (1) ‘May our hope be fulfilled: may we obtain the company of young Rāma on the bank of the Sarayū. Kṛpānivāsa blesses her with these words—dearer than life to the heart.’ (2) Mūla tāla: ‘He remains entangled in that rasika's knots—in the beloved girl of rasika Rāma. Drunk on rasa, he cannot steady himself—’ [the song continues on the next page].
