हिंडोरैं लसत जुगल छवि जन उपमा भूलैंरी ॥ टेक ॥ चंद्रकलादि झुलावति गावति फुरकत अंग झूलैंरी । कृपानिवास जानकी वल्लभ निरति जुगल छबि फूलैंरी ॥१॥ राजकुँवर मेरे संग लग्योरी ॥ जहां जहां जाऊँ तहां तहां लखाऊँ प्रेम बिबस रस रहत पग्योरी ॥१॥ सोयरां सपने चमकावै जागिजुग तो मृदुमुसकनि हँसि हेरौं तब फूल मगन तन रोस करौं तब हाहाखावै । बेस दुराय दुरे परिजनमें दृष्टि चुराय बदन पट खोलैं ॥ पग परसत अपराध छिपावत मन हरनी मधुबीनी बोलैं ॥३॥ भवनादिमां सिरकी सरकावै पाय अकेली अबमेरी । सरजू जाऊ न्हान मिसपीछैं आयसुनान्हात कौतिक करेरी ॥४॥ आंखिसों गृह आगे मेरे गुणगावै हँसि बीन बजावै ॥ कृपा निवास राम रसिया वर रसिकान
Fresh English translation
[The Khamāja swing-song continues:] ‘—the divine couple shines upon the swing; beholders forget every comparison.’ Refrain. ‘Candra-kalā and the others push the swing and sing; every limb thrills as they swing. Kṛpānivāsa says: absorbed in the beloved of Jānakī, the paired beauty blossoms.’ (1) ‘The royal prince has become attached to my company. Wherever I go, there I see him, overwhelmed by love and steeped in rasa.’ (1) ‘When I sleep he startles my dreams; when the two of us wake, I behold the tender smile and laugh. Then the body blossoms in delight; when I feign anger, he cries out in distress. Hiding his guise, remaining apart among the family, he steals a glance and opens the face-veil. Touching my feet, concealing his offense, the thief of my heart speaks honeyed words.’ (3) ‘In the house and elsewhere he slides the cloth from my head and finds me alone. When I go to bathe in the Sarayū, he follows under a pretext and makes sport while I bathe.’ (4) ‘Before my own house he sings my virtues with his eyes, smiling as he plays the vīṇā.
