Fresh English translation

Rāga Paraj, mūlatāla: ‘Show your darśan, Rāghava; my eyes are thirsting. O bee, fly here to the flowering vine of my enclosure. Kṛpānivāsa, ever a worshipper of the form, begs: give rasa to this thirsty one. (2) My heart thirsts deeply without beholding you. The eyes, greedy for the dark-hued form, keep thinking and thirsting for its sight. Kṛpānivāsa says: life comes only when Rāghava touches me. Beautiful one, do you not know what lies in my heart? Your form and virtues have made the heart's longing immense. Beloved, break this entrancement and recognize another's pain. Kṛpānivāsa pleads: colorful Śrī Rāma, color me in your own color of rasa.’ Khyāl: ‘No one understands my condition; now this heart—’ [the song continues on the next page].
