रामरसिकबर होप्यारे । घनलौ बरषसरसरस नागर तरफत प्रान जीवायजारे ॥ मदन महानद बढ़्यो है अनाहद बिनतारक मैंखरी हों किनारे । कृपा- निवासी प्यारी रूप उपासी चंद बदन दिखलाय जारे ॥ लगी स्याम डोरी भई मैंतो भोरी अबसुधि लीजिये मोरी ॥ रास भवन तजि दूरन कवनगुन रसमैं विषबूँदघोरी । कबहुँनलाल करी तुम गरबी अब अखीं कहारीरी । कृपानिवास मिले दोउ सुंदर रामस्याम सियगोरी ॥२॥ सोरठ मूलताल ॥ वो रघुबंशी भुलनजाणा । मैंतो तौडी बंदी रामा दावण लगियां सिर सोहै तैंडा वाणा तैंडा वो भुलण रामा मैंडावो मरण भला लोगदे हैं सबताणा । कृपानिवासी तुटुकपहिचोणी दिल भरयार पुराणा ॥
Fresh English translation
[The Aḍānā song continues:] ‘Beloved, chosen Rāma the rasika: raincloud of rasa, pour your streaming showers and revive this yearning life. Love's great river has swollen without bound; with no ferryman, I stand upon its bank. Kṛpānivāsa, devoted to the beloved form, begs: show your moon-like face. The dark cord has caught me; I have become bewildered—take notice of me now. Why abandon the house of rasa and go far away? What virtue is there in mixing a drop of poison into rasa? Once, dear one, you made me proud; now my eyes lament. Kṛpānivāsa beholds the two beautiful ones reunited: dark Rāma and fair Sītā. (2)’ Sorath, mūlatāla: ‘O descendant of Raghu, do not forget. I am your captive, Rāma; the bond that has caught me and your word shine upon my head. Rāma, if you forget me, death is better, while all the people taunt me. Kṛpānivāsa recognized you in a single glimpse—the ancient beloved who fills the heart.’
