दिलजानी भलो वोटुकमुखड़ा बिरिखला जावे यार । जिंदड़ी नरसत बरषत अँखियां लै मुसका वाजिवाजावो । छाड़ि उदासी दावान श्रीरामा ॥ कृपानिवास कहांयजावो । जंगला मूलताल ॥ सांवरे सजन मैं नोंमिलना जरूर वे । दिलजानी मेहरम प्यार गलकन होनादूरवे । कृपानिवास आस दरसनकी रखना रामहजूरवे । काफी जंगला आवोजी प्यारा साजुकीतारसांवदादुक दिदार दै हमें दिलजानी मति न उदासी लांबदा । कृपानिवास मनभावदासाजन तुमको मेहरनि आवदा ॥ अड़ाना मूलताल मोहनी सीता न सुनायजारे छबिमातिवारे
Fresh English translation
[The Kāfī Jangalā song continues:] ‘Heart-knower, show but one glimpse of your face so that this anguish may depart, friend. My life thirsts and my eyes rain; come smiling, sounding the music of joy. Śrī Rāma, abandon this wilderness of sorrow. Where else can Kṛpānivāsa go?’ Jangalā, mūlatāla: ‘Dark-hued beloved, you must meet me. Heart-knower, merciful one, may love never grow distant. Kṛpānivāsa asks: preserve the hope of darśan in Rāma's presence.’ Kāfī Jangalā: ‘Come, beloved, and grant us even a moment of your sight. Heart-knower, do not prolong this sadness. Kṛpānivāsa says: beloved who delights the heart, why does mercy not come to you?’ Aḍānā, mūlatāla: ‘Enchanting Sītā, do not refuse to hear me, O one whose beauty steals the mind—’ [the song continues on the next page].
