दिखावी । कृपानिवासी वारी दरस पियासी वो सुणा रामरसिक रसप्यारी ॥ भला वो जिंदलगीयां तैंडे नाल मेहर करी वो दशरथ देसांवरे । नैणा देविचरूप तुसाडा रसना देविच रघुबर नांवरे कृपानिवास दिवानी तैंही तुज विन कितबल जावरे । खुबंसी वो तैंडी सूरतियां मेंडे दिलें दे अंदर खुबरहियां तुजविन मेनु कछु न भावदा तुज देखें मैं जीवाँ ॥१॥ सदा खुमारी आंख दियां नूरूपदा प्याला पीवाँ । तैंडे आगेंसदाखड़ो दीं तूहीसिरदासाई । कृपानिवास करों मनमानी दिलजानी गललाई जंगला ॥ प्यारे राघवजी वो जिंदलगी तैंडे नाल ॥ तुज देखें बिनकलन परत पलया ईस्कजंजाल । कृपानिवासी दरस पियासीवे सुणा देदिदार

Fresh English translation

[The Jangalā song continues:] ‘Reveal it. Kṛpānivāsa is offered up, thirsty for darśan; listen, Rāma the rasika, beloved of rasa. My life is joined to you—show mercy, dark-hued son of Daśaratha. Your form is within my eyes, and Raghubar's name is upon my tongue. This Kṛpānivāsa is mad for you; without you, how much strength can remain? Your beautiful form dwells deep within my heart; without you nothing pleases me. I live when I behold you. (1) Ever intoxicated, I drink the cup of your luminous form with my eyes. I stand always before you; grant me only servanthood. Kṛpānivāsa says: O knower of the heart, act as you will, but take me into your embrace.’ Jangalā: ‘Beloved Rāghava, my life is bound to you. Without beholding you I find no rest; I have fallen into love's snare. This darśan-thirsty Kṛpānivāsa begs you: grant your sight—’ [the song continues on the next page].
