Fresh English translation
[The Soraṭh song continues:] Fresh anklets sing fresh delight; sweet tānas and the companions' music accompany the play of eyes, eyelids, limbs, and movement. Kṛpānivāsa beholds Sītā and Rāma sporting in the fresh grove. (2) The two sing together, steeped in the rasa of the rāsa; longing throbs in the throat, perspiration glistens, and the smile is captivating. (3) Refrain. The waist turns and sways, pausing from instant to instant, and Love himself is ensnared. Kṛpānivāsa's eyes are filled with the beauty of Jānakī's beloved. Rāga Bihāg, āḍa tāla. Beloved and lover have fashioned every lovely adornment for the rāsa. On the bank of the Sarayū, lotuses and fresh bowers teem with clusters of bees and the secret feast of rasa. (1) Refrain. Loosened hair and pearls upon the face surpass comparison in beauty. The poet longs to describe the faces of the couple, beloved of the whole company, and opens his utterance.
