Fresh English translation

Rāga Hamīr, tāla jātra-daṇḍaka. Fresh rasa bears fresh beauty within the rāsa. Filled with fresh delight and performing fresh play, the graceful couple moves through fresh color. Refrain. Fresh singing and fresh tānas, a fresh manner and fresh love—their new surge fills the pavilion's nine regions. Fresh footwork, repeated steps, and the companions' fresh formations accompany the sweet, pleasing voice: tat-theī, tatheī, theī. Fresh anklets and girdle-bells ring; the fresh rhythm and tāla captivate the young beloved's heart. A fresh mṛdaṅga pulse, fresh song, fragrance, the excellent fresh vīṇā, and fine notes unfold. (3) The fresh beloved is a cluster of beauty, a jewel, a lovely opened lotus; the fresh companions, their vast hearts absorbed, wander intoxicated. Fresh garments flutter, fresh motion steals the heart, and Sītā's newly restless fish-like eyes contend with one another. A fresh smile and rasa—[the song continues on the next page].
