[The preceding dance song continues:] (1) Refrain. Gazing upon that form, the companions bow; flashing as they move, they are filled with intoxication. The crooked glances and quick, startling eyes never lose their softness for even an instant. (2) Rows of companions cast beauty in every direction; no poet's comparison can reach it. Kṛpānivāsa cannot turn his eyes away from Jānakī's beloved. (3) My eyes remain fixed upon the beauty. Enchanted by charming forms, the lovely ones gaze, absorbed and filled with rasa. (1) Refrain. A gentle smile, a single gleam of teeth—their compelling force entangles the heart. Oblique glances from great eyes encircle the minds of millions. (2) Rāsa-bihārī and his beloved Rāsa-bihārinī whirl like Love intoxicated. Kṛpānivāsa says: ah, the beautiful eyes of Jānakī's beloved! (3) Rāga Yaman, mūla tāla, dhrupad.
