Fresh English translation

[The wedding song continues:] Having reflected, the companions came and fell at their feet—refrain. The hope dearest to our hearts is fulfilled: in the rāsa pavilion the wedding's auspicious rites are performed. (2) A canopy was fashioned and adorned with gold and jewels; beholding its beauty, the light of countless moons is eclipsed. (3) Sītā became the bride and Rāma the bridegroom. Their glances and smiles brought fresh color to every limb. (4) They were adorned in fresh bridal ornament. All the companions, delighted by their beauty, offered themselves. (5) The holy rites were performed; maddened under love's sway, the companions sang auspicious songs as the couple circled the fire. Then they fed the couple, served them in delighted celebration, and prepared ārati beneath the newly adorned pavilion. Married, beloved Rāma and Sītā departed for the abode of joy. In the palace of love, the bride delighted in rasa beside the bridegroom. (8) This taste of bliss is beginningless, forever governed by love. Kṛpānivāsa worships the river of rāsa-rasa. (13)
