[The preceding Kāfī song concludes:] Shame and social restraint are torn away. Kṛpānivāsa holds firm—who could describe such a vow? (2) Mūla tāla. A spell upon the heart seized the beloved women; powerless, they all set out. Hearing Rāma's vīṇā, every one became distraught and came together, these captors of the heart. (1) Astonished, they gaze and drink the intoxication of the rasika's form, themselves honey-mad. Kṛpānivāsa says: hoping for union, they wander in Love's intoxication. (2) Without my beloved there is no rāsa for me. Bring her here—or shall I go home, O gardener-companion? Janaka's daughter is figured as a fish in water; my mind is a bee and the beloved, flower buds. (1) Laughing, the nimble, eloquent beloved companion went. Kṛpānivāsa says: Śrī Rāma met his beloved, and together they delighted in love's color. (2) Wedding auspicious song within the rāsa, Āḍā tāla.
