Rāga Darbārī Kānhṛā, rūpaka tāla. (3) The rāsa pavilion became supremely lovely and delighted the rasikas exceedingly. Beautiful thrones were made; canopies, fly-whisks, graceful awnings, and jeweled arrangements were set in place. Soft bedding was spread, with cloth like milk-foam and pleasing cushions; every comfort was arranged. All around, the dwelling of rāsa was formed. Kṛpānivāsa, in the voice of a companion, sang of the arrival of Sītā's beloved for their delightful play. Arrival-khyāl in Jangalā, three-beat tāla. (4) O daughter of Janaka, your beloved's arrival delights the heart! He comes amid companions and color, his beautiful form the very essence of sweetness. Kṛpānivāsa beholds the fresh beauty and offers himself again and again to that graceful gait. Rāga Darbārī Kānhṛā, rūpaka tāla—arrival. Dark Rāma and the lady Sītā, jewels of rāsa, come with their retinue, steeped in the forest's color.
