श्री जानकी वल्लभाय नमः ॥ अथ श्री रास पद्धति लिख्यते राग ऐमन चार ताल ॥ अंजनी नंदन सुर मुनि बंदन दुष्ट निकंदन जनहृदि चंदन श्रीहनुमत शुभ नाम निरंतरजो जापि जाके जरे दुख बंधन ॥ बोध बिलोचन द्वारे पेखत परम रसिक गुरु पावत अंजन ॥ कृपा निवास श्री कपिपति पद भजि मुक्त महाभव संभृत फंदन ॥१॥ आडताल ॥ भजमन पवन कुंवर सुखदानी । सब सुख सागर नागर प्यारे रहसिभक्ति उरथानि ॥ सदा सहायक सब गुण लायक बोलत अमृत बानी ॥ कृपा निवास परम गुरु मेरेधरें सीस पर पानि ॥२॥
Fresh English translation
Salutation to the Beloved of Jānakī. Thus Rāsa-paddhati is written. Rāga Yaman, four-beat tāla. (1) Son of Añjanī, adored by gods and sages, destroyer of the wicked, sandalwood cooling the hearts of people—whoever constantly repeats Hanumān's auspicious name has the bonds of sorrow burned away. At the gateway of awakened vision, one beholds the supreme rasika guru and receives the collyrium of insight. Kṛpānivāsa says: worship the feet of the Lord of the monkeys and be freed from the snare accumulated through vast becoming. Āḍā tāla. (2) O mind, worship the Wind-god's princely son, giver of happiness. Bring into your heart the secret devotion of that refined beloved, the ocean of every joy. Ever helpful and worthy of every virtue, he speaks words of nectar. Kṛpānivāsa says: may my supreme guru place his hand upon my head.
