The boundaries of social and sacred order have broken in Kali. Sin brings its natural harvest as pain, fear, disease, grief, and separation, spreading suffering across every station.
Yet the path approved by Shruti still stands: devotion to Hari joined with detachment and discrimination. People under delusion refuse this direct road and invent countless alternatives.
The tragedy is not that no way remains. A clear way remains unloved because it asks the heart to release attachment, see truly, and worship. Invented paths can be adjusted around desire, while Hari-bhakti exposes desire to grace. Bhushundi places simplicity beside proliferation. One living current could carry the age, but the restless mind prefers to dig many dry channels and then grieve that no water flows through them.
The river of Hari-bhakti still runs beside the road, while the deluded exhaust themselves carving paths away from water.

भए बरन संकर कलि भिन्नसेतु सब लोग। करहिं पाप पावहिं दुख भय रुज सोक बियोग।।100(क)।। श्रुति संमत हरि भक्ति पथ संजुत बिरति बिबेक। तेहि न चलहिं नर मोह बस कल्पहिं पंथ अनेक।।100(ख)।।
All varnas have become mixed in Kali; all people have broken the boundaries. They commit sins and suffer pain, fear, disease, sorrow, and separation. The Vedically sanctioned path of devotion to Hari, joined with detachment and discernment, men do not follow, lost in delusion; instead they invent countless other paths.
